Study of neutrino conversion into sterile state with the artificial neutrino sources

It is a project of near future, aimed to clarify the situation with the so-called neutrino anomaly found in LSND, MiniBooNE and other experiments. The development of the project is carried out by the scientists from the Borexino collaboration. Precision measurements of neutrino fluxes from the artificial neutrino sources 51Cr and 144Ce are being performed on the basis of the existed Borexino detector. Such measurements will allow examining the hypothesis of neutrino oscillations into sterile state.
