Line of training
Students learn general compulsory disciplines of university education. Besides, their training includes grounding in the nuclear physics, elementary particle physics, electronics, mastery of high-powered computer engineering, etc. Prominent russian scientists, international experiments and projects leaders conduct these training courses.
Department trains for following 3rd generation syllabi (for those enrolled in 2011 or later):
- bachelor syllabus “Elementary particle physics and cosmology”, school 14.03.02 Nuclear physics and technology" 4 years of education, “bachelor” qualification to be obtained;
- master syllabus “Elementary particle physics and cosmology”, school 14.04.02 "Nuclear physics and technology" 2 years of education, “master” qualification to be obtained.
- master syllabus “Software Engineering and Data Analysis for High Energy Physics”, double school 14.04.02 "Nuclear physics and technology" and 09.04.04 "Software engineering", 2 years of education, “master” qualification to be obtained.
Department trains post-graduate students for following professions:
- 1.3.2 "Instruments and methods of experimental physics"
- 1.3.15 "Physics of the atomic nucleus and elementary particles, high energy physics"
